Macerated Strawberries

Macerated Strawberries

2lb of strawberries, cleaned, stemmed, and quartered

2 ounces of Galliano liqueur (optional but pretty important)

¼ cup of sugar

1 large orange, zested then squeezed for juice

Place strawberries in large mixing bowl. Gently toss with Galliano, sugar, zest, and orange juice. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of four hours. Remove from refrigerator one hour before serving. Gently toss and serve.

Larry’s tips: Serve in frozen martini glasses. Fresh made whipped cream wouldn’t hurt this recipe either. Drink all the juice after the strawberries are gone.
