Hot Chocolate Mix

8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely ground

½ cup non-fat dry milk powder

1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup of confectionary sugar

1 tablespoon of sugar

½ teaspoon of kosher salt

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Put all ingredients in food processor until ground into a fine powder.  Store in airtight container.

Heat 1 cup of whole milk in saucepan until it starts to slightly boil. Add 1/3 cup of hot chocolate mix and stir well and heat for another 2 minutes until a slight boil. Pour in favorite winter mug, top with homemade whipped cream and enjoy.

Larry’s tips: Possibilities are endless once you master this hot chocolate mix. Play and have some fun. Experiment with adding a dash of cayenne pepper, instant espresso mix, almond extract, malted mix, or cinnamon.
