Fresh Mozzarella

Mozzarella Caprese

 1 ball of fresh mozzarella, sliced 1” circles

1 fresh tomato, sliced ½” circles

1 teaspoon of olive oil

3-4 pieces of fresh basil

 

Sprinkle tomatoes and mozzarella with a pinch of salt. Alternate the layers of the mozzarella with the tomato slices and basil. Drizzle with the olive oil.

 

Larry’s tip: If the mozzarella has been refrigerated let it sit out at room temperature for 1 hour. Add the Caprese to your favorite bread for a delicious hero.
